Alela Diane : Pirate's Gospel

I have to thank my friend Jessica Caisse for sending me this song in one of her amazing mixes. It has been a few years now and this song still gives me the chillie willies.

Alela Diane is from Nevada City, CA but and began her solo performing career with encouragement from Joanna Newsom (go figure). She lives in Portland, now, and has three albums: Forest Parade (2003) and Pirate's Gospel (2004) which were both self-released and To Be Still (2009). She sites her parents singing in the kitchen as some of her influences.
