I saw The Books play free in Millenium Park this summer and I have two tidbits to share with you:
1. They really are playing those instruments, you guys. And it's a big relief to see musicians really playing even if they are also playing with computers.
2. Their accompanying films are beautiful on a giant screen when you are surrounded by a few thousand other people quietly jamming on their picnic blankets and folding chairs.
History Lesson: The Books (Nick Zammuto and Paul de Jong) found each other in New York City in the late 1990s. They have four studio albums, an EP and a DVD spanning from 2002-2010 and they are for sale supa cheap on their website! www.thebooksmusic.com
