Kellen says he started making music when he found a guitar in the trash somewhere in Fox River Grove, IL, where he grew up. He says that before the experience awakened him to his musical future, it made him realize that you can find some pretty sweet stuff in the trash. Without making it sound lonely, the project Kellen & Me is just Kellen, a guitar, and a bunch of electronics. All of his recordings are done on a reel to reel tape machine which is what gives it that feeling like you want to rattle it in your hands and then push-click it into your car stereo and drive around the city. Kellen & Me does not yet have an album, but he does have a million songs on his Myspace that I highly recommend checking out - especially the "Hum-bolt [Park] Tribute Song" for my fellow Chicagoans. Push-click it, everybody!
