trouble time!

This week, as brilliantly suggested by the very handsome Mr. Thomas Corley, is the first week of a new format. Themes! Yay! Like costumes, but for music! Can you tell I'm pumped about halloween?

Consider this your horoscope: this week is going to be trouble.

Astronautalis : Trouble Hunters

Astronautalis is Charles Andrew Bothwell (Take a moment to let that name sink in. I know. Can you believe he isn't a professional tea drinker/croquet player?). He is on the label Fighting Records, based out of Orlando (See also: Whole Wheat Bread and Grand Buffet). He has three albums:

• You And Yer Good Ideas (2003, self-released) (an album best listened to madly in love in winter, trampling all over the northern California coastline and making plans)
  
• The Mighty Ocean And Nine Dark Theaters (2006, Fighting Records) (an album I recommend for recovery from your own naive plans for yourself, best taken with abundant whiskey)
  
• Pomegranate (2008, Eyeball Records) (for something that, in the absolutely perfect way, reminds you of nothing else.)

Here's what else, guys. He's a really nice guy. He also has a bunch of EPs and tours pretty much always. Go see him next time he comes to see you. It is the polite thing to do.
