Chiddy Bang is Chidera Anamage (born to Nigerian immigrants in New Jersey) and Noah Beresin aka Xaphoon Jones. They met at Drexel University in Philadelphia and get this, they are both only 20 years old. They started making the rounds and getting noticed in 2009 and were signed to BMI in 2010. The duo calls themselves "kings of the basement party jam", which, of all the claims arrogant hip hop artists have made ("But I am the shit and they just poop stain"), is one I can get behind. So to speak... In all seriousness, bros and brosephines, these guys do just as much jock strapping as anybody else in the business, but they also aren't afraid to get real every once in a while. "Sooner or Later" features a video shot by Chiddy in Nigeria and is definitely worth paying attention to. Bottom line, Xaphoon's beats (sampling from a range of artists from the expected MGMT all the way to Radiohead) and Chiddy at the microphone will get your office chairs squeaking.
